About Me

Garrett Owen is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer from the south side of Jacksonville, Florida. He specializes in making high-intensity music for film, television, and video games.

During his early years, Garrett spent his college days in the studio, honing his skills by pursuing a Bachelors degree in Music and a Minor in Film from the University of Tampa, concentrating on music technology and composition. While in school, he consistently participated in projects outside of classes, like performing with the Tampa Master Chorale in conjunction with The Florida Orchestra, as well as working as an assistant audio engineer at Morrisound Studios.

Using both his orchestral and engineer background, Garrett fuses these sounds together to create a sound that is unique to him. He graduated from Berklee College of Music, Valencia with a Masters of Music in Screen Scoring for Film, TV, and Video Games. This is where his media scoring career began, working on the composing team in multiple animation and video game thesis projects from the surrounding reputable institutions. Garrett is always looking for new collaborators and exciting opportunities while continuing to work on short films and personal projects.
